I am new to the game show genre of video games and I was skeptical about the amusement offered by Electronic Arts’s ​​Hasbro Family Game Night 4: The Game Show. I approached my fifteen year-old son (and usual laboratory subject) with a proposal involving playing the game and offering his thoughts on game play and the “fun factor” involved in playing this compendium of five games.
You can play The Game Show to compete in all five mini-games in reality TV style or play each game individually in challenge mode. After each game, the winner earns a Crazy Cash card with an unknown value of Monopoly Money. There is a control scheme with two button controls for all the games, so they are easy to learn and are appropriate for younger children aged eight and up. For challenge mode, you are competing against XBox clone-like avatar to achieve the highest score and win the game. The goal of Connect 4 Basketball is the first team to shoot four balls in a row of one color wins the game. We found that this game became somewhat repetitive, and a little boring after about 10 minutes of game-play.

The game resembles Lego games or LittleBigPlanet, with a few notable additions. The two main attractions of the game are that players can travel to 6 worlds from classic and contemporary Disney and Pixar properties, consisting of Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Wall-E, Monsters, Inc. and Aladdin and acquire 45 costumes based on numerous other Disney franchises, such as The Little Mermaid, Tron, Mickey Mouse, Lilo & Stitch and Tangled.

Pandora's Tower focuses on Aeron's travels into thirteen towers to break a curse on Elena that is transforming her into a beast, using his magical sword and chain. A certain set of these monsters are referred to as beasts, as their flesh can be used to temporarily reverse the effects of the curse. The primary objective of the game is to acquire the "Master Flesh" from each tower's "master beast", as this is the only way to break the curse. Players only have a certain amount of time in the towers before Elena's curse worsens (displayed as a meter on the player's screen), this will force the player to exit the current tower in order to give Elena flesh; thus it is important for the player to take shortcuts in order to progress through each tower.

Gameplay remains similar to other previous Just Dance games, as players are judged on their ability to mimic on-screen dancers performing a routine to a chosen song. New features in Just Dance 4 includes dance battle routines, expansions to the game's Just Sweat mode, unlockable bonus routines for songs, and a "Puppet Master" mode exclusive to the Wii U version, which allows a player to use the Wii U's controller to serve as a "Master" to manipulate the routine and visuals. Previous additional modes (Simon Says Mode, Playlists, Medley, Speed-Shuffle, Just Create, and 8-Player) have been dropped. Additionally, the "On Fire" motive (from mostly Goods and Perfects in a row) and effort ratings have been removed, leaving only difficulty ratings.
Players have "Dance Quests", six missions for each song, that can be completed. Each quest nets the player Mojo points. Downloadable songs do not have dance quests. Wii, Wii U, and PlayStation players can also create "Dancer Cards", which can display their favorite songs, best scores, challenges, and more. Personal leaderboards are also available for the Wii version of the game.

WWE '13 runs on the engine called, "Predator Technology 3", which succeeds the first version from WWE '12. The Predator Technology 2.0 game engine has been updated from the previous WWE games to allow for more fluid animations, with odd collisions and transitions having been fixed and updated, it also allows over 300 new moves. Past problems have been fixed with a better weight detection system, contextual animations and automatic attack homing, to ensure that the character always strikes towards the opponent(s). The contextual animation system has been refined to ensure that it dynamically swaps out moves to make sure that the game is using the appropriate move animations at any given time and state. The weight detection system makes it so that small superstars such as Rey Mysterio are unable to lift larger wrestlers such as the Big Show. Thus, the contextual animations ensure that more appropriate attacks are put in the superstar's normal moveset. The game's new homing system is designed that when doing high flying moves, a player will hit the intended target with better precision. The homing system also tracks tables so that they will be better detected when doing grapples on a ladder in TLC and Ladder matches.[4] This feature allows for environmental moves such as ring breaks, barricade breaks, announce table breaks, and catching (mid-air) finishers to be possible. The game also contains the biggest roster ever in a WWE game. Another new feature is a different model for the giants in the game. It is the first game to feature wrestler Ryback. Previously, a single body structure was used for all superstars. THQ has also claimed that the game has the most life like superstars. Another important aspect of the game is the new revamped audio system with remastered sound effects. The crowd reactions and commentary audio has directly been taken from live WWE events. Online servers have been enhanced to allow for players to test out creations before downloading them into the game. During online matches, AI will fill in for absent players when not enough players are available.WWE 13 game play and original title holders cannot be updated and thus is not up to date with current title reigns.
